The cliché says that “trout don’t live in ugly places.”
And it may be true that an ugly fly might be beautiful to a trout.
But in a stunning example that God must have a sense of humor, it seems that sometimes a trout can turn ugly.

I’ll stick to the smaller and more beautiful trout of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Yup, that’s a nasty looking lake trout…from what I hear they are like catching a log, not much action.
